XML, a new start for the Web
This page provides pointers to material distributed or used during
the Academic Training Lecture Series XML, a new start for the
Web, that took place from 22-25 May 2000 at CERN.
The series consisted of three days of lectures reviewing various key components
of the XML technology, while the last day was devoted to short
presentations of projects that already use XML at CERN.
Material
Here are a few basic Web pages that contain a lot of information about XML:
- Elliotte Rusty Harold's
Cafe con Leche XML News and Resources
- Robin Cover's
SGML and XML News
plus the various links from that page. For instance, from the applications link
you can find a list of editors, plus hundreds of institutions/organisations that use
XML/SGML.
- <?XML.COM?> an XML
newsletter sponsored by O'Reilly & Associates, Inc. It provides
up-to-date coverage of what is going on in the XML arena. In
particular, they have a very useful XML Resource Guide
providing pointers to hundreds of tools, such as parsers, editors,
viewers, information and implementations about various W3C and
commercial standards. etc.
